    editing html

Yesterday I posted up a list of words I found when doing a search for my website. I was told that these are hidden words in html and I need to get rid of them. MY question to all is how do I get rid of these words and how did they get there? You can find the words by searching yahoo for my company Quality Lighting and where I place my meta tags is where these mysterious words appear. They words do not appear in gogle.

    Thank You kindly

    1) who told you that you have hidden text?
    2) what is the EXACT text?
    3) where is it?

I think he meant the "bv" in the html script created in BlueVoda for the wep pages published.

That is if my guess is right.

Karen mention to me last night that I have hidden text in html.

When you do a search on yaho for my company qualitylighting.net you will see these words appear where I place my meta tags.

Here is the list of words along with my company's description: Antique lighting from the 1840's to the 1920's. ... witch. dover. series. diagram. enamel. bernie. bianca. pharmacology. adder. cisco. teri. eel ...

So how did they appear and where can I find them so I can remove them.

Its in an html box on your site.. somewhere on your page. It helps when you post to the same thread instead of starting new ones.

in bv on your page.. hit cntrl plus the a button to show ALL elements on your page. you have one that is set to 0px it will be a DOT near the bottom of your page.

This usually isnt some ACCIDENT this is usually a CONTRIVED and planned element.. not something you could do or add by accident.

I just tried to find a html box and it has been so long since I did my site I can only think of my menu. So I looked and I did see all elements but did not find the a dot near the bottom of a page with 0px.

I am not good at this stuff. So please bear with me.

            Thanks

Would the 0px be in the generated html in the page html box?

                I found this in generated html: <img src="1 a ul.jpg" id="Image2" alt="" align="top" border="0" style="width:25px;height:20px;">

This is located where I place my UL on my index page. It does have 20px instead of 0px.

I hope this is not a silly question but what does the dot look like? I see hundreds of blue dots when I hit Ctrl and A, but what does the dot look like? So far I did not see one at the bottom of the page. How do I remove or reset the dot so that I get rid of the 0px?, if this is right?

Hey, this is a serious hack and a problem that VH needs to look at. Google "adsttnmq1" to learn about it.

I'm no expert, but I think this is a server hack. FOR SURE you should submit a support ticket explaining the situation.
