Will Republishing My Pages as html hurt search engine rankings?

I have a site that is getting pretty good search rankings for certain words. I want to republish a lot of the pages as html pages. They are currently in php format. If I republish, will it hurt my rankings as the extension will be different, will the search engines read them as completely different pages?..........any thought or advice would be appreciated....thanks

Yes.. php is HTML in that its code is embeded into the html. The only difference is the execution of the scripting. So.. it wont make any difference to the html elements whatsoever.
