  • bandwith usage

    Hello,
I was checking my stats (www.zone5pix.com) and was astounded to see that one user had used .6gigs of transfer in one session! Unfortunately the user acessed the site from the BV forums. Is there a way to put "some" type of limit on bandwith transfer per session. 600mb just seems to be way too much, or am I worrying about nothing?

    Re: bandwith usage

Theres no way that just by looking through a forum in one session that someone used 600mb's. It only takes a few kb's to loada page, they would have to have looks at well over 50,000 posts. There either has to be some large download, or somehow someway, there was a glitch somewhere that is giving oyu a bad reading (which I don't know how it is possible without it having some user input doing it0.

Frankly I don't know, perhaps see if vodahost can check into it,

          Re: bandwith usage

          kad,
I will give you what I have done for my websites:
Open your page (index or whatever) in BV
Right click in an area outside the page width
          Click on "Page Properties"
          Click on "Meta Tags"
Enter your keywords in the appropriate box. I think that the analyzer tool will tell you a maximun number of words you should use (20-25?)
Enter info in the remaining boxes.
The keyword relavency(sp) relates to the actual text on the page and the keywords that you choose. The higher the percentage of relavency the better for search engine ranking.
Go to the Meta Tag Analyzer tool and check out your results.
I had to go back and forth several times changing text/wording and "Tags" to get a good result.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
