Redoing my BV website on Soholaunch?

    Hi,
I created my website with BV and was very happy with the result. Now I wanted to redesign it and as I have now a Mac did it with BV running under Parallels. There I got two problems: one is that it is very slow and the other one is that all the accents are not recognized and strange characters appear on screen. I have not been able to solve this problem, so any idea would be great!

In case I can't work around this problem, I was thinking about using Soholaunch. Would I need to redo my whole site or is there any import/export possibility? Are there any limitations for Soholaunch versus BV?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

You can't import BV pages in Soho. They need to be created from scratch.

Soho uses templates, either the standard ones that come for free, or paid ones (at very reasonable prices). It doesn't allow BV's freedom in layout, but will suit most of the cases.
It also has a e-shop built in, as well as more features like custom made database interfaces and searches, email lists etc.

Not sure, probably a character set incompatibility between Windows and MAcOS.

Did you try enabling Unicode ?

In BV, Tools, Options, enable UNICODE

and in Page Properties, chr set: UTF 8

Unicode was enabled, but the charachter set was wrong!
