    Pages jump

    I have a new site and, in Firefox, several of the pages jump and do not line up with the rest of them. I've checked page width, made sure nothing was hidden, made sure that centering of the page is checked, everything I can think of.
    The only thing I see odd on page source is it shows some font sizes that I am not using. On the Rosters page, it shows the years listed as font size= 16 but they are actually 12, etc. I've double checked and triple checked and...

    The pages seem to line up in BV, and I only see the jumps when using Firefox.

    Does anyone have any clues. Anyone had this experience with FF?

    Re: Pages jump

    Your pages are different widths.
    Some are 900
    Some are 902
    Some are 904
    I get this info from your source code.

      Re: Pages jump

      Thanks Terry, I did find some pages with 902, etc. I've gone thru every page and they are all set at 900 now. I've even put a red '900' on each page to make sure I didn't miss one.
      But looking at my index page and rosters page there is still a jump. Both are set at 900 width. When I right click the pages and click 'view page source' I get this for the 2 pages:

      position: relative;
      margin-top: 0px;
      margin-left: auto;
      margin-right: auto;
      text-align: left;

      And I still find it strange that Firefox jumps but Chrome & IE don't. I have even reinstalled Firefox and still get jumps. Am I overlooking something?

        Re: Pages jump

        Your page content determines the length of your page. On your longer pages the need for the scroll bar appears on the right giving the appearance that your pages are jumping. Nothing you can do about that unless you make the pages long enough so the scroll appear on every page or indeed short enough so they don't.

          I'd never noticed that before. I guess I've never had short and long pages together in a site. Wow!

          Many, many thanks! I've been pulling out what little hair I have left!
