    Re: Website Freezing

Francis ..... Please start using the Forum Search tool to find solutions to common problems before creating a new thread.

My first inclination is that you either have a super-huge image that has not been reduced in file size, or have tried to install a video for auto-play with the improper format, or have a faulty script or your site has malware on it and is running an illegal script (if this is the case, although your domain is from and your site hosted at VodaHost, this becomes a security issue which may result in your account being suspended) .... these are the likely culprits behind browser crashing and undue page loads.
I would suggest stripping off either of the possible reasons mentioned above and re-trying the page load. If your issue comes from an oversized, un-optimized file size image, then open the image in and then re-save it using the Pixresizer to help reduce file size. Once we see how that works, other suggestions may be offered.

However (for future reference), if it is not image or media file related or someting to do with a rogue script, it is usually a connection issue, on your end, and you will need to seek remedy yourself. In your case, however, it is a universal problem since I and others experience the same.

FOR CONNECTION ISSUES you can try a couple of things, insofar as it seems to be a problem isolated to singular computers:

    A. Be sure to update your Java for your computer, for your broswers depend on this to function properly.

    B. Clean out your Browser cache and temp files and try again. "Refreshing" your browser multiple times via F5 may not be enough, so you may have to empty cache and temp files under TOOLS of your browser.

    C. Reset your modem by powering down your computer completely for at least 3 minutes, turning off and disconnecting your modem (3 min. also), wiping the cable leads off to remove any residual static charging (ionized dust), reconnect, power everything back up, and THEN try again.

    D. You may need to follow up with a dnsflush to clear IP cookies/application hang (which may be preventing the page from loading):
    1) Close down all open browsers
    2) On your computer click >>> Start
    3) Next click >>> Programs
    4) Next click >>> Accessories
    5) Next click >>> Command Prompt
This will open a black dialog box...
    6) Type in: ipconfig/flushdns and hit Enter.....
REPEAT PROCESS "D" ABOVE AGAIN BEFORE RESUMING NORMAL ACTIVITY
