    QR QuickResponse Barcode+BV

I read an article about "QR" and I am wondering how I would do this for my websites in Blue Voda. Thanks

"You may have noticed those square barcodes (looks like lots of squiggly unrelated lines) popping up on business cards, magazines or elsewhere, so you may already know that they are a hot trend for 2011. These barcodes are called QR,short for Quick Response. And how exactly does QR translateinto web design? Quite well, in fact. Simply take a photo ofthe unique barcode with your camera phone. Like magic, yourphone will call up the website associated with that barcode. The beautiful thing about QR is the flexibility. Feature your QR on your website, in order for site visitors to havea shortcut to your mobile site. 2011 is all about mobilityand it will be smart to take advantage of this new medium out "QR"

Find a free QR Barcode image generator here > http://qrcode.kaywa.com/

Be careful about re-sizing the image, however, as this may alter the distinct coding .... best to generate in different sizes as allowed to be saved individually to be used more universally.

    How to use with BlueVoda?

    1. Initial Traffic Generator to Website, using the code for the URL of the Index Page.
I have seen many instances where people are including them in their traditional advertising, such as magazines ads, signage, and even on mass transit billboarding. Makes it easier for consumers to immediately explore, simply by pointing their phones at the ads/barcode image.
    * Look for this aspect to interplay with advances in Social Media, and how recommendations and comments will drive web valuation on a growing scale! Combined with Google+ an Share tools, websites are poised to interact once traffic arrives, but only for those website owners that have the ability to evolve their site design to incorporate the necessary tools (such as the ability every BlueVoda User has).
Many business owners that do not have access to their websites, or don't manage their own online activity outside of a Facebook page began using QR barcodes in simple advertising (including emails) to direct traffic to their FB Page so consumers could immediate "build" a Fanbase, leave comments, and provide the business with a usable sense of growth and exposure. This rerally was not a compromise for them, as it combines all the aspects of a marketing effort and provided for am immediate level of consumer contact.

It is also extremely effective is to include a smaller image on the reverse of a business card, which makes the invitation to visit the website part of the 'introduction' itself, often "visited" during the initial moments of the meeting, or during the 'sizing-up' period prior to more detailed discussions.

    2. Specific Consumer Trend Metric Development, using the specific URL to a specific page within the website that interacts with consumers.
By this I suggest using the specific page URL of a "Form" page that may include an Email Form that is intended to collect responses, comments, or "votes" to a narrow-focused question or targeted offer. This is by far the most direct and measurable metric tool to truly gain insight and data regarding your services, products, effective marketing/communications, or market share, as individuals "arrive" at a cleverly desgined page that was specifically created to measure traffic (also via AWStats in your cP) and traffic responses.

Start by asking a single question or for a single response and see what kind of overall effective market share you are attracting. Good marketing can use this effectively even with a smaller returned datapile, if you start small and cleverly focus on a narrow results set.

    * This is by far the most common usage, as evidenced by the perponderance of QR metrics being created via traditional print advertising, as in fashion magazines, wmoen's magazines, etc. The fashion and makeup industries use this a lot, not only to strategically meet consumer needs more effectively, but to save money and prevent blunders: it is commonly used to advertise a dress, for example, and for the QR to bring consumers to the web page that asks them to choose a color or "style" they would prefer to see the dress in at their local store which they would be more inclined to actually buy (surprisingly, QR allowed consumers to be more truthful and candid without losing anonymity, their greatest concern). In this way, the manufacturer avoids the cost to produce a dead line or stylized option and can focus investment around expressed predictables coming directly from consumers. Makeup, wellness products, foods ... many have used this to datamine for consumer core preferences prior to launching a new line.

It has been long used as a Customer Service tool, since inception, as this was the most universal application for business: consumer polling, everything from "How did we do?" to offering to receive complaints or make negative whispers finally heard.

Again ... how to use a tool depends on the cleverness of the User, not in the tool itself.

        Re: QR QuickResponse Barcode+BV

I'm glad you can see how QR Barcodes can be a significant tool in truly interacting with consumers in a much deeper level, and how information you glean from that interaction can be so important to your business.

It's all about creating the motivation, the compelling reason for consumers to choose to look further, to get involved: where and how you display the QR barcode image "invitation" is just as important to whether or not to use it .... when combined with POS (Point of Sale) graphical advertising that is convenient for the consumer, the possibilities ar seemingly endless. Coffee shops and delis are even using it to collect comments on purchases and experiences within the retail environment, when they are more likely to be offered freely.

        Good luck!
