W3C Improvements
- Improvement: Make Horizontal line is W3C compliant.
- Improvement: Make improvements to table HTML code to make sure it's compliant with the W3C standards.
- Improvement: Events validate on W3C validator.
- Improvement: Includes 'loose.dtd' for HTML 4.01 DOCTYPE (and make all generated HTML comply to this standard), for improved W3C compliance.
- Improvement: Make borders for all objects compliant to the W3C box model.

General
- Improvement: Background alignment improvement for Firefox/Safari compatibility.
- Improvement: Preview in browser menu displays associated icon for specified browsers.
- Improvement: Add DPI awareness to object font handling (for systems not set to 96 DPI)
- Improvement: Font picker in style toolbar renders much faster for large fonts lists.
- Improvement: Add more font sizes (in format toolbar and all other objects)
- Improvement: BV will attempt to correctly encode invalid filen ames automatically.
- New feature: Add option 'Generate external CSS style sheets for page specific styles'

- New feature: Automatic backup option. Makes a backup copy of projects every 5, 15, or 30 minutes.
- New feature: Add option to (automatically) make a backup of the project on the server.
- New feature: Add the ability to specify the target folder for published files. Not only can you set the 'images' folder, but also for other types like swf, pdf, mp3, movies etc...
- New feature: Implement proportional resizing for all objects: Hold down SHIFT + Bottom-Right handle while resizing.
- New feature: Add 'Paste in Place' in the main and context menu.
- New feature: Add 'Enable HTML encoding' in HTML options. This will save the document with the selected codepage/charset. Unicode improvement.
- New feature: Add the ability to center a popup window in links
- New feature: Add 'Don't publish' option to objects. This allows you to exclude an object's assets from being published.

Style Manager
- New feature: Add 'Import/Export' option to style manager. This makes it possible to import/export general and hyperlinks CSS styles!
- New Feature: Move Up/Move Down options to style manager so styles can be re-arranged.

Ruler guides
- New feature: Add size/position Tooltips while resizing and moving objects and ruler guides.
- New feature: Add the ability to lock ruler guides.
- New feature: Add 'Add this Guide to all pages' to guide context (right click) menu.
- New feature: Add context menu to ruler guidelines.

Events
- New feature: Add 'SetStyle' action to Events, so you can dynamically set a new style for objects.

Page features
- Improvement: Horizontal/vertical center in browser option displays scrollbars if the browser window is too small (revised code).
- Improvement: Move body colors, scrollbars from body tag to style in HTML output (W3C improvement).
- Improvement: Create a new Internet Explorer specific tab in Page Properties which includes all (deprecated) IE features, so users are more aware not to use these for W3c compliancy.
- New feature: Add 'User defined' to meta tag section in Page Properties.
- New Feature: Add Search Engine Optimization section to Page Properties. Add Robots, Revisit After and Expires options.
- New feature: Add 'Stretch Background' in Page Properties.
- New feature: Add Overflow to Page Properties so it can be set for each page individually to be able to force scrollbars on smaller pages.
- Improvement: Add 'Delete' and 'Select All' to context menu.
- Improvement: Add 'Center in page horizontal/vertical' to context menu of objects.

Menubar
- New feature: Make Menubar structure more search engine (SEO) friendly, use unsorted lists instead of javascript for the menu structure.
- New feature: Menubar accepts <b>, <u> and <i> in item text.
- New feature: Add sub menu orientation property to menubar (bottom/upper left/right).
- New feature: Add 'ButtonSpacing' to MenuBar, so you can set the spacing between buttons images.

Navigationbar
- New Feature: Add animation to Navigationbar to add cool animations (fade, slide left/up/down/right) to the rollovers.
- New feature: Add 'custom image' option to navigation bar. Allows the user to quickly select custom images for the menu.

Text Menu
- Improvement: TextMenu supports white spaces as delimiters.

Go Menu
- New feature: Adding styling options to GoMenu.

Flash
- Improvement: Flash is now using swfobject.js version 2.2 for improved browser compatibility.

HTML Object
- Improvement: HTML object now supports up to 2147483646 (0x7FFFFFFE) characters instead of just 30000.
- New Feature: Add Start of Page, Between <head></head> tags, Inside <body> tag, After <body> tag, Before </body>, End of page options to HTML object. This allows you to easily copy/paste page HTML from one page to another.

RSS feed
- New feature: Add 'Import' and 'Copy' options to RSS feed.
- New feature: Add 'Custom image ' option to RSS Feed.

Text Art
- New Feature: Add 18 new warp styles in TextArt.
- New feature: Text Art Gallery option with 25 predefined textart styles 'inspired' by MS WordArt...

File Publisher
- New Feature: Add folder support to File Publisher object.

Slide Show
- Improvement: Add 'Alternate text' option to SlideShow images.
- New Feature: Add border to slideshow
- New Feature: Redesigned slideshow using jQuery, includes 18 transition effects, sequence/random mode and effect length.

- New feature: Add new object 'Login Name' which can display the name of the logged in user (Login Tools).

Roll Over Image

- New feature: 'Publish text as image' now also support jpg or png as output format. Use png for the best quality.
- New feature: Add 'Optimize text for FireFox/Safari' option to text object. An attempt to display text exactly as designed in all major browsers.
- New Feature: 'Include text in ALT attribute' option for 'Convert text to image" feature.
- New feature: Add Sentence case, Lowercase, Uppercase, Capitalize Each Word and Toggle case options to text editor.
- New feature: Add shortcut menu items for bullet, euro, pound, yen, regsitered, copyright and trademark symbols.
- Improvement: 'Insert Symbol' displays all Unicode symbols.

- Fix: Locked Objects on layers/forms do not move if parent moves.
- New feature: Add border style and background repeat options to form.

Layers
- New feature: Add 'Sticky Layer' mode to layer. This option keeps a layer visible (top/bottom/left/right) at all times. This can be useful if you want to keep a menu or image visible even if the page scrolls. Animation is also an option!
- New feature: Header/Footer mode which can be useful if you are using the layer as a header or footer for your page (usually in combination with the 'relative horizontal resizing' option).

Combobox
- New feature: Add border style to combobox (implement through workaround since this is not offically supported)
- New feature: Import option Add to combobox. Select from predefined values (countries, states, days etc) or import from an external file.

Slide Menu
- New feature: Add animation effects (slide/fade) to slidemenu
- New feature: Add 'SingleExpand' option to slidemenu

This new release ALSO fixed the "Unexpected File Format" issue that was preventing many of my BV files from opening. This one fix will literally save me HOURS of re-building what I thought were lost files!

OK, I have resolved the problem that did not relate to bv12.2
A portion on an IFrame was overlapping the text links causing them to be visible but not clickable.

OK, I have resolved the problem that did not relate to bv12.2
A portion on an IFrame was overlapping the text links causing them to be visible but not clickable.

I've downloaded BV 12.2 and looked all over the buttons and dropdown menus, but I can't find any "Slide Show" tool. I would expect to find it by clicking "Insert" (in BV's top menu) and going to "Extra" but it's not there. Can someone help me find it?

I have Windows7 64bit OS. I installed BV V12.2 over top V12. I had to reinstall a few times and after each time, I got a Windows warning that the Program might not have loaded properly .... with explanation that usually caused by unsuccessful loading of a Driver.
I opened a new page each time I started it up and looked under Help>About BlueVoda to see which version was being displayed. It still reads Version12. Should it not show Version 12.2 ??? I checked a new feature like " Image Rollover - Animations" and it was there and worked fine. So I'm left wondering if the Version Number in the "About BlueVoda" is just an oversight????

The Slide Show toll is called 'Ad Banner Rotator'. You will find it under Insert, Extra, Ad Banner Rotator.

Similar problem, but i still have the version before 12.0 i upgraded to 12.0 and never worked, it says that is 12.0 but is not.
I don't have re-captcha or any of the other futures.
Now i tried 12.2 and same thing, i don't get the new version, i have tried to re install it many times and also deleted the older version and start from scratch and nothing...

Windows 7

Any help?
