    Sudden problem with "menu.php"

For over 5 years now I've had a "menu.php" set up for the menu on my website. This has worked great because the menu stays on every single web page that I have, and when I make a change to the menu, it changes all the pages.

Yesterday, I went in and added a button to the menu, and when I published it, and viewed the home page, every button has a duplicate underneath it and it's shifted position on the page.

    Here's a link to home page: http://www.cust-m-cartoons.com/

I'm currently using Blue Voda Version 12.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as this site has over 250 pages of products that are affected.

    Thank you,
    SherylT

Another problem with the above mentioned site -- My index page is suddenly off center, and I've lost the background color. It shows up fine and all the properties are correct when viewing pages to work on, but when published, it disappears.

If you are using BV12 and are in any way still trying to use the "PHP Include" method for your Menu, Header, Background, or any other element, you will run into errors due to the manner in which BV12 was written and how conflicts arise according to the new WC3-compliant coding BV12 is based on.

Thank you for the explanation and the links, Vasili, but still unhappy that this was not mentioned when BV12 came out. With over 250 product pages to change now, I wish had had not installed the upgrade version.

It is what it is .... simply embed your Menu on each page (via COPY+PASTE) and get the reliable rock-solid and durable results you desire (now that the "short-cut" methods have been eliminated).

            Re: Sudden problem with "menu.php"

            Hi Vasili

My site has a lot of pages made using BV Version 11, which are published and running OK, at least so far. All of these pages have "include" html boxes. My question is:

Will it be mandatory to update the already published pages by removing those "include" and replacing them with standard menus or can these pages be left as they are now, with "include" boxes, without further problems?

            Please comment.
