Multiple sites on one account

I wish to place several sites on my account. I am a little confused as how to do this. If all homepage sites must be www.xxxxxxxxx.com/index and saved on the local pc as index, how can i upload other homepages named index on the same account but under a different url without overwriting other index files.

Sites other than your main one, will have to be added as addon domains in your account. When this is done, a new folder will be automatically created for each new domain. You must publish your "index" page in that folder. You must also create separate folders on your computer, so the "index" pages will not overwrite each other and things will keep organised
