Menu bar background

I'm working on a completely new design for my website (www.weatherwest.com). I have a color gradient for a background where the menu bar will be, so no solid background color will work. Is there any way to make the menu bar background "transparent"--that is, no background at all?

Try this thread, it might help. If not, do a search forum for "transparent" and you will see lots more posts on this subject.

I also remember reading that "fucshia" is the "clear" color in BV but now I can't find the thread or info on that, sorry.
