Bookmark - Top of the page - Bookmarks

    Bookmarking a page.
Creating a Bookmark on a page.
    Open a BV page.
    1. From the file menu select insert/Bookmark & place on page at the point you wish to link to.
    2. Double click on the bookmark icon (popup appears) & name this bookmark. (Something short & related to where you are linking) Can be left as the default text, but better to name. Press ok.

Now to link to this bookmark from the same page. (possibly a small text menu at the top of a page)
    1. Create some text relating to the particular bookmark.
    2. Highlight the text & select the hyperlink icon.
    3. The insert Hyperlink will popup.
    4. Click on the bookmark drop down field & select your bookmark from the list. Press ok & test in preview.

Link to this bookmark from another page.
    1. Create some text relating to the particular bookmark.
    2. Highlight the text & select the hyperlink icon.
    3. The insert Hyperlink will popup.
    4. Enter in the url field http://www.mysite.com/mypage.html#mybookmarkname
    5. This is the same for “some” of the BV menu options as well.

Top of page. Reverse of above.
    1. Create a bookmark & name top of the page, & place at the very top of the page.
    2. Now create some text? (top of page) & link the same as before & place next to the bottom of each paragraph or subject area.

    Tips.
    1. Name your bookmarks as you would a url. SE’s will see them
    2. Name your text that links to the bookmark well. Not (link or go here) Once again Se’s will see this.
    3. Try & to keep the page length no longer than necessary. It seems to upset the bookmark positioning if made over long.
    4. Top of the page bookmark seems to work fine if you cut & paste the same one for repeated use on the same page.
    5. If using long pages & want to cater for Fire Fox users. It is recommended to use tables to place your text in & type the top of the page links within each area as needed, & hyperlink to top of page bookmark.
Good results can also be achieved if just 1 text box for the whole of the main page areas text. Once again, it is better to type the links to the top of page within the text box rather that trying to use a link that is in a separate text box.

    Good luck.
    Regards Chris.
