    Back-up and Restore

If one has ever had a computer crash..............getting the new one set up with all your old programs and such is a real pain. It is tough to remember
just what you had on the machine and how your desktop was.

So........take a snap shot periodically of your desktop by hitting the "PrtScn" button on the keyboard. Then open MS Paint (Programs>Accessories>Paint) and Paste the picture into a new project. Save as desktop-date (with date being the date of the snapshot ex. desktop-1-27-09) and choose .jpg as file type.

Then save that file along with all your BACK UP files. Now simply print that picture and use it as a reference when setting up the new computer or restoring the old one. Makes recovery from a "crash and burn" much easier.

    Just an FYI-
