Hello & a Happy New Year to everybody!

I've published my new web site but I still need to finish all the forms. They are too complex for me. I need to know the exact "action command" for every form and how to hyperlink them within web site pages.
My web site is not available at (www.ai.biz) yet, but you can view a page at http://75.126.10.7/~efxawije/ . Why do I see just one page?
    Kindly advise.
    Thank you.

Re: Hello & a Happy New Year to everybody!

I am not sure what you mean. You have already, as i can see, set the action for your forms, in "searchandshow.php" and "action.php". These should be the scripts that will process your forms. So i don't understand what you mean by "how to hyperlink". It is the form action that defines where the info submitted will be sent for processing.

Your other pages do not show, because you have established your links as (f.e. for your "services" page) http://www.ai.biz/service.html , but since the domain name is not yet official, such a kind of link will not work, you would need to make it http://75.126.10.7/~efxawije/service.html . Excactly the same reason for which the link to your site is, for the moment http://75.126.10.7/~efxawije/ and not http://www.ai.biz

Returning to your forms: i see that these forms are practically search forms. This means that the visitor selects a search term, and he submits. Your "searchandshow.php" script should then receive the search terms, perform the search in your database (?) and then show the results in a results page. Do you already have this script ?

Re: Hello & a Happy New Year to everybody!

      Thank you.
      1.) Search forms:
Yes, that way it should work. For the search result I have this page with a "result form": http://75.126.10.7/~efxawije/advancedsearch1.html
How to show the search result through the "result page"?

      2.) Other forms:
For example the "Sign in" page http://75.126.10.7/~efxawije/signin.html
contains forms such as "Register your membership form". I'd like to do it the way that when an user registers, his info will be automatically displayed in the web site.(after the payment is confirmed,...), and he should get his own "record" and "login info". His record will look like this http://75.126.10.7/~efxawije/record.htmlI wrote wrong action commands for the forms. I think. I didn't know that the "searchandshow.php" was the correct command.

Re: Hello & a Happy New Year to everybody!

What you are trying to do requires a complex database script. Do you already have this script ? Forms are ok, but they only are an input mean. You need the program behind the forms that will store all the info in the database, and it will search, display, allow for editing etc. That's a VERY complicated work that requires lots of programming skills and knowledge.

If you don't already have such a script, you can:

        1. Search on the net for a ready made, but customizable script.

        2. Have one (in fact it is a collection of scripts, not one) custom built for you. However, from what i have seen here, the cost for a custom made script is going to be VERY high with all those features that you are asking for. If you decide to go this way, contact me.

You should better opt for solution 1.

The Advantage International is my company. I have no other web site made. All my forms and pages are made directly in BlueVoda and I have no other scripts.

I appreciate your advice. I will search on the net for customizable script. Do you have any suggestions how to search for it? (search words) :)

I beleive that you should look for " directory script php ". Make sure that the script that you will choose can work on VH servers (ASP scripts will not work)

I cannot answer on whether it is suitable for you or not. I would send an email to their presales department, provide them links to your pages, and have them answer on whether it can be customized according to your requirements.

I've learned about their service and I decided to purchase it. While downloading the software I have to choose from:
1.) install it to my machine, or 2.) install it to a remote machine.

1.) Asks me: "Please enter the URL of the install location on your local web server".
2.) Asks me for: "FTP login: FTP server address: 75.126.10.7; FTP port:21; FTP username & FTP password; Upload files into folder: .....

I think I should go with the second option. Is that right? In that case, shall I use my temporary server address (75.126.10.7) or the http://www.ai.biz ? Also where should I upload those files to? What is the file name?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I beleive that you should load the files on your website, but again, i would ask their support what the difference is between one or the other. If you do it on your site, create a folder, called, f.e. "directory" and load the files there.
