    conflicting instructions

I looked through the threads already posted, but didn't see anything that was addressing my concern, so my appologies in advance if this has already been covered.

When watching the tutorial for adding the php code to the "thank you" page, it shows to add the code "between Head tag"

When you scroll down the page to get the php, it shows to add it "beginning of body"

Does it matter? If it does, which one is correct?

Also, I would think that I should be adding this php code to both my "contact" page as well as the " thank you" page, but adding code to "thank you" page is the only one addressed.

    Am I overlooking another part?

EDIT: Also, when I title the pages in "page properties" (NOT naming the page) are both "contact" & "thank you" pages action pages?

    TIA!

    barronj-
Greetings. Can you post a link to the instructions you are refering to. There are many tutorials, instructions regarding the php scripting and forms.

      Re: conflicting instructions

If there is more than 1 video (albeit 2 part) tutorial addressing how to set up "contact" & "thank you" pages, then perhaps I could answer my own questions by looking further into the tutorials.

That being said, here's a link to what I'm curios about:

      Forms Tutorial #1

In the video, it shows putting the php in the

"between head tag", and in the pic linked above, it shows putting the php in the "beginning of body"

      Does that help any?

        Re: conflicting instructions

You can place the script wherever you like, it will work the same. The best place would be to place it in the "Start of Page", as, in this way, if you decide to replace it in the future with a script that also performs error validation, you will have no html output before redirecting to the error page.

Is it just the "thank you" page that gets the PHP code & "action" in the title?

          Thanks again!

The form can be. i.e. titled "Contact us page" the other can be titled "Thnak you Page".

I don't understand what you mean "are both action pages". Usually we simply call a page "action" page to indicate that in this page there is the script that will process the form which has called it.
