    Forms -uploading picture problem

Values submitted from web site form:
    Editbox1 : Sadie
    Editbox2 :
    sadie01201995******.com
    TextArea1 : comments here
    Upload Your Picture : C:\Users\Guest 1\Pictures\fishermanken\Sunset.gif
    Button1 : Submit

    I have a form on my http://www.casadelasprismas/guests.php
that asks the guest to send a picture from their trip to the website with
    comments.
You can fill out the form and the "browse" button uploads the dos path
for the photo, and the "submit" button sends the email, and the "sucess"
    page appears.

I have changed the form so many times and watched the tutorial I am getting cross eyed. I have bee using the following for testing as it sends to my email instead of the customers. Thanks.
    test page: http://www.casadelasprismas.net/guesttest.php

    Thank you,
    Pat

Problem is that the email when received does not have the attachment
of the picture. It shows the "dos" path only.

Try renaming the file upload field in simply "file_upload" or "Image" or anything without whitespaces, and let me know

        Re: Forms -uploading picture problem

        Hi Navel,
I renamed the file upload field with upload_your_picture and then sent
        another test picture to myself.....
        here is what I got
Values submitted from web site form:
        Name : pat
        Email :
        sadie01201995******.com
Comments : uploading picture problem .. test only
        Upload Your Picture : C:\Users\Guest 1\Pictures\fishermanken\Senior_sitzen.gif
        Button1 : Submit

so, no go on that one......... any other thoughts?
(and, ofcourse, I suggested this little form to the customer...... daah,
what was I thinking?) once again, my creativity outshines my abilities!!!

              Re: Forms -uploading picture problem

              Hi Pat
I hesitated to interrupt this thread, because Naval is the man for form answers! But, it has been awhile since he responded, so he is either very busy or maybe in his part of the world it is sleep time! LOL!

Anyway, here is something that I picked up from the form wizard tutorial.
It said that for file uploads you should choose "multipart/form-data" for the "encoding type" in the form properties. You might give that a try, because I see from the page form coding you used the default encoding.
I'm sure Naval will solve your problem soon; if that doesn't work.

                Re: Forms -uploading picture problem

This is the reason it doesn upload images. However, Pat had also associated events to the reset and submit buttons, that prevented it from working. It is fixed now.
