Exam results script help

Iam fine to create a database and adding data to it. I want to enter all my students data and examination marks to database is ok. but how can i retrive the data from database? this means when my student enter his hall ticket number his marks to be displayed at same page or respective page?

Is this possible with mysql or php? if so plz tell me how can i do it?

Yes, its quite posible.........just google using "php and mysql" and start learning...........
