Help with e-mail address field

Hey everyone,

I have a form on my website for submission. For some reason, the e-mail field does not take an e-mail address. When you enter in an address, and then click submit, I get my custom error message. I have it set to "no constraints" and the "data required" checkbox is unchecked.

Any assistance here is greatly appreciated!

Change to data type to Email Address.
