    Go Menu -combination of 2menu

Can i have a combination of 2 menu, like if visitor select item 2 in Go menu1 and item 4 in Go menu then condition mets and it directs to the link.

    or

if visitor select item 1 in Go menu then go menu 2 change as per selection in Go menu 1 (it can be made using 2 pages, but is there a option in site builder)

Ultimately i want to use the combination of 2 go menus..

I have just started building my website

You could use as many menus as you wanted to, just be sure you have the pages all linked to where it is you want them to go to, so that there is no confusion .and perhaps you should be clear in your instructions you give on your site as to what can be found where on what menu .. can't see why you couldn't do that ....

Re: Go Menu -combination of 2menu

I may be again reading you wrong but if this is what I am reading you want to do

you want to have a go menu, and set the go menu to go to one certain link, that would be no problem, one link, one place to go ....

and then when you get there you would have two go menus??

Seems like you would just be adding another entire page to do just the same thing ....

your go menu links can point to anywhere you like, but each link is an individual ....

        hope this helps ....

Sorry..let me say it again..on a web page i have 2 go menu option
Go menu1 and Go menu2 ( Go menu selection depends upon the selection in Go menu 1) e.g. Go menu 1 is list of countries and Go Menu 2 is list of cities ...and if i select a country A n go menu 2 should give me option to select from list of cities for that country only..

I hope this time I am able to explain myself...Appreciate u support..

Re: Go Menu -combination of 2menu

ok ... i think what i am hearing is this

you want to be able to select

canada from one go menu and then be able to select halifax from the other go menu ....

hmmm... I dont know everything, thats for sure, but in my mind

you can only link one link at a time

My suggestion for the way around this would be this:

Have one go menu for countries on its page .... once they select the country they want to enter .... then on that countries page, have a go menu where they would select a city .....

You would then have a go menu on for your countries on your main page and a go menu on every page that is a country that would be a menu listing the cities ....

I do not believe that one link can take you to two pages at once, nor do I believe you can press two links at once .....

lol .... but I again, may be wrong ....

Another solution may be using a drop down menu .....

Having a drop down menu for every country on your main page .... and from each drop down menu your cities are listed ..... this of course then leaves out the option of having an individual country page ... ?

can you post your website address please .....

Re: Go Menu -combination of 2menu

It can be done in two ways: either using Javascript, or using php. For the Javascript solution look at : http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...menu/index.htm

For the php splution look at this thread: http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/for...orm-links.html

Your case is not excactly the same, and the script in post #10 in that thread should be modified. The process would be: You create a trigger (no need to click on Go! ) menu for the countries, and the page automatically refreshes itself. On loading again, it will load the cities for that particular country, and they will be displayed as options for the second listbox, the one for the cities.

The javascript option is more suitable for your case. However, i have seen many LARGE companies using the php / refresh page method.

A VERY simple solution, if you don't have too many countries and cities, would be that of using a two level dropdown menu. You can see it in http://www.navaldesign.info/Tips/linkdropdown.html

Another yet very simple solution, with separate pages for the cities, that will appear in the same page, is the one using a Go menu and an Iframe. Have a look at http://www.navaldesign.info/Tips/multilink.html

Hi Naval, yes you are getting it right what i want but the workaround which u mentioned technically will ok but it doesn't give a professional look, regarding java scripts, i dont know java, i can only make small changes in HTML file..

Any other way..for it..appreciate your support..
