"Gopher" link? And another linking question.

I've searched, and nowhere does anyone or any tutorial define the "gopher" link. Does anyone know?

The reason I ask is that I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to onClick hide/unhide a layer, and I was wondering about linking vs. some sort of script.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Gopher is just an older protocol of data transfer, before http became the standard.

    Can't help with your question.

Thanks Naval, I don't need to keep digging for gopher anymore!

Anybody else that has ideas on layers, please respond.

      Thanks,

      Mike

To anyone who's interested, this is the simplest that I found on hiding layers:

I'ts pretty cool, though of course, now that I've found it, I'm not sure it's what I want. It doesn't work if one layer is upon the other, and isn't that the whole point of layers?

        Still looking for any ideas,

        Mike
