Link in body copy of type matter on page

Hi all,
I have about 200 words of type written text. ie body copy.
Within this I have linked some words to a few pages as one would normally do via the link facility at the top of the page.
When I preview I have blank spaces where the linked text should be.
I went back and in the layout button brought all forward thinking this was the problem. It did not rectify the problem.
Will the linked text show when I publish?
What have I missed please.

Have you checked your link colors in your Page Properties?
Also check your "Styles" on your "Insert Hyperlink" window.
