html code for hyperlink pop up settings
Please can you tell me if it's possible to create pop up settings for a page, rather than having to do it for each and every external link?
I have a page that has many links to events,things to do,retaurants etc, and I thought if the linked (external) pages opened in a pop up, then the length of time spent on my own page would be increased. But I have to set the pop up settings for each link, which gives lots of extra html code.Is there anyway I can link to the first lot of generated code, or as I am learning CSS, put it in an external stylesheet? (but I think this is Javascript so probably not possible to do this)
Is my idea a good one or will I be penalised? This is javascript I think, and I thought I had read on one of the SEO sites that it wasn't good to have javascript as some of the SE didn't like it, but everyone seems to use it!
