    hyperlinking to .ppt file

I read in another thread that a power point presentation can be linked to a web page.

I typed in the text, clicked on the hyperlink button, and then pasted the ftp: location of the files. I clicked save and publish. It takes forever long to process the 39K sized file and then says 404 error. I saved the power point in my ftp manager under public_.

What am I doing wrong? Please advise.
    thanks

Huh, it should link to my ppt slides...

I have read other threads about converting ppt to flash but my super said we can't afford to buy it. I am trying to figure out a way to get the slide show on the web page or at least link to the file to open it in an iframe or something.

Am I hyperlinking to the file in my ftp directory correctly or do I need to use my domain name/BlueVoda/slides/slide_show_name.ppt

Hi,you should consider your slide presentation in another format, it doesn't have to be flash. You can do it free by using your windows movie maker .. the problem with a ppt presentation - if the viewer does not have ppt on their computer, they won't be able to view your presentation .. if you use your windows movie maker, you can save the file and insert with your media player icon in the web builder. All viewers will then be able to view your presentation.
