    Newbie needing help

I have watched the tutorials and saved my pages as shown. I have put a navigation bar in and tried several ways to link the pages. It is not very clear on the video. It says save page as index and then on the video tells you to put the complete website address!!

I am getting very frustrated over what must be a simple process. Can someone please tell me how to link all my pages together using a nav bar.

I want to get my site done to publish it with voda host but getting close to packing it in and giving up.

Well you are doing it right as you explained in your first paragraph. When you PUBLISh, the links will work correctly.

Ok, don't worry, we can hep sort this out for you.

Ok, I'll give you an example from one of my small sites.

      The site is http://www.mygardenservices.co.uk/

so I named my home page 'index' and published it.

Then I named the next page 'services'

So in the navigation i put http://www.mygardenservices.co.uk/services.html

The next page is 'contact' so the link is

Now... when putting a link on your site to the homepage, although the page is called 'index' with this page you don't need to add that to the url, so http://www.mygardenservices.co.uk/ will be the link you put for your home page on your site.

      Any clearer?

Can I view the linked site in a preview browser without publishing it?

I want to build a new site to replace one that is on a different server. I would like to try it out before publishing.

You can view each page but the links wont work until you publish.

Thanks that is why I was getting confused. Another website builder I used allowed to test the functionality of the site before publishing. Many thanks to everyone for the help
