I'm a little lost

I would like to know if someone could help me with linking
other sites to my web pages. I am currently involved with
amazon .com and would like to add my link with them on my web page but
I seem to be doing somthing wrong HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Create a link by inserting an image, or a button, or simply a text in your web page. Select the object, right click and chose "Properties. When the popup window opens, go to Link and type in the URL filed the URL of amazon.com that is http://www.amazon.com

If you use text as a link object you must first highlight it and then click on the Link icon on the top toolbar, then follow the other steps as described above.
