linking through navigation bar, I'm stuck and feeling stupid

I'm really trying to figure this out on my own. I've just spent several hours reviewing the forum, and gone over the tutorials, but I just can't figure out what to do. I have created a few pages, added the navigation bar with the names of all the pages I plan on designing. I have added the url's to the properties section in the navaigation bar. Now what?
    www.haliburtonlakecottage.com/index.html
    www.haliburtonlakecottage.com/roomamenities.html
    www.haliburtonlakecottage.com/whatsincluded.html

Also, the more time I spend fussing with the site, the longer it takes to open. I've compressed the images. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance.

Thanks Karen for responding. Did the pages open for you when you click on the navigation bar, or will the navigation bar only work when all the pages are attached. So far I have only created the index page, the room features page, and the what's included page. When I click on the navigation bar the pages don't open. I'm sure I'm missing something.

      thanks,
      Lesley

You need to check your links for the whatsincluded link you have a space in between the whatsincluded and the .html, also you have the link to your home page (index) linked as welcome.html (which does not exsist).

Thanks Ed, I made the changes and a couple of others that I found, but my links still aren't working. My link works back and forth between the index page and room features, but not between the other links. Any thoughts? Maybe it's just late and I'm brain dead. The name on the button doesn't have to match the url does it?

Thanks Karen, I do realize that the pages won't link if they aren't there, but the pages that are there aren't linking.

Well your links (on all your pages) still have the space in the whatsincluded page, and this page ( www.haliburtonlakecottage.com/roomamenities.html )
is no where in your menu bar.
The links you posted are not in the right format, see how I have the one above ? Now look at how you have it listed in your post #6 it is wrong, your first one is correct. If you have done this with your links that could be why they are not working as well. Think of your links like a phone number, one wrong digit and it will not connect to the person you want.
