The text area object is a form object so you can't link text in it.

Yes but this tutorial doesn't tell us how to create a book mark for a place in the text. I want to put headings at the top of the page which link to text boxes or places in the text on the same page. The bookmark facility doesn't seem to do anything and I can't find instructions for this facility. I am used to creating links to bookmarks in word documents.
