Preview links to 404 page

when I try to view one of my web pages using the preview button on the toolbar I keep getting a 404 error message. I've tried everything I know how to get a link from my home page to another page in my website-I'm at a loss

Links do not work in PREVIEW, or for unpublished pages. It is simply a "Preview" and not a fully functional version.
