linking to an install file

I have an .exe install file I've uplink. I need for clients to be able to click on a hyperlink to download it. Have uplinked to my:

public_html/MyPrograms/programname/install.exe

When I click on the hyperlink, get the NOT FOUND page saying:

The requested URL /MyPrograms/TAGRA/TAGRASetup.exe was not found on this server.

Same with either http or ftp. Any suggestions?

Hi Ernie,
Have you tried zipping the file and uploading it as a zip file. This has worked for me. the link address would be http://www.yoursite/filename.zip
