Internet Exception Error 12029

Hi

My bluevoda has for some reason, stopped publishing...it will still run and do all the amazing things it can do, but it will not publish. This creates a problem that i need to fix.
I do have my firewall allow it to connect.
I have tried with firewall security off.

I get this error message

Internet Exception Error 12029

Details:
The attempt to connect to the server failed.

A 12029 error is a firewall issue error. This means that one or more firewalls is
blocking your attempt to publish with BlueVoda. Please follow the below steps:

97% of the time this can be attributed to your Windows XP Firewall Please follow
the following steps...

1) Go to your computers control panel
2) Click on widows firewall
3) Click on exceptions
4) Click on add programs
5) Add BlueVoda to your list of programs
6) Press ok
7) Reboot your computer

You have now successfully added BlueVoda to your safe programs list.
You should not have this problem again. If the problem persists. Your
computer might have a secondary firewall from Norton or MacAfee.
You will also have to BlueVoda to their safe programs list.

Also if you are working from an office or you are using your companies
computer or internet connection. You company probably has some type
of network firewall in place.

Please contact your companies system administrator for instructions.

I apologize, but it doesn't seem to be working. Iv tried looking for anything that could be blocking it. But is it always a firewall?

All i really want to do is change the index page to my joomla page.

If you have recently downloaded a new/fresh copy of BlueVoda then
your firewall needs to be told that a new/different .exe is now in place...
and 12029 can aso be caused by bad or incomplete network connection.

Well when it stopped publishing maybe around when i stopped using Wireless and started using Cable Connection.

And Iv had this BV for awhile. Updated of course.

I don't see how cable connection could pervent BV from publishing...

You found it, it is something in your connection, does your new cable connection come with a modem, does the modem have a firewall?

Reconnect your wireless and test, if it works, then you know for sure
that its your new setup.............

Ok, i think its my SHAW modem or my wireless Belkin G.
i did test the wireless....but it took me an hour before i got a singal. Anyway...The wireless seems to work, although my cable connection doesn't with it.

You see...The wireless Belkin G acts like a link between all the computers in the household. Cable or wireless.
Since the modem only has one connection port, we use the wireless router as our link to it. My Cable is plugged into it.

I am not sure what to do if it was my modem. The modem is old, but built with a powerful firewall.

Is there another way to change the Index page?
I want to fix this yes, but i won't have to worry as much if i change the index page to http://www.globalmilitaryforces.com/Index-C/

Your first page should always be called index
and nothing else (small letters)
when you publish, bv changes the ending to .html
or if you save as php then it changes to .php

until you know more, keep it as index

so i can rename my joomla folder to index? instead of Index-C? and when i type in my main url www.globalmilitaryforces.com it will show as my joomla page?

I talk about pages and you think folders.......No mate....

Lets stick with Pages.....whatever page you name as index will come
up when you or anyone else types in your domain name.
