    Temporary vs. Permananent URL/FTP Addresses

I hope someone answers this post ASAP because my bosses have given me a deadline of Monday afternoon (GMT -6 / US Central Time) to have the site up and running!!

    __________________________________________________ __________

Hi My name is Kathryn & I am brand new to VodaHost but I am already loving it!! One question though... I started to publish my pages using the temporary URL, since \ my nameservers hadn't updated yet, but the nameservers are now pointing to VodaHost. So Questions are...

    1) Do I need to republish what I already have published, using my actual Domain Name?
    2) When I enter the URL for my links on my navigational bar, do I enter the link using the base URL of ***************or do I use my actual domain's base URL of
    http://www.dreamsfulfilledthroughmusic.org

    or does it matter?

    3) Will the server know that these two URL's point to the same content?

    4) I have already entered the temp URL into a couple of links... will I need to update those to the permanent URL??

    Here's my Client ID:
    CLIENT ID # 16079
My URL & Domain name are listed above.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Re: Temporary vs. Permananent URL/FTP Addresses

    Greetings Kathryn-

You will use your website name in your links- not the ip address.

For example. If you have a page named programs or resources then it would look like this:
    http: //www.dreamsfulfilledthroughmusic.org/programs.html
    or
    http: //www.dreamsfulfilledthroughmusic.org/resources.html

Check out the video tutorials that Blue Voda has put together regarding links. You can find them here

    Cheers-
    Andy
    PHP- is a blast!
