Viewing pages prior to changing nameserver

I have added a second site to my BV account. The domain name for this site is one that I have published elsewhere. I do not want to change the nameserver to VH until my re-build is complete. While the store is being built I can publish the pages. My question is:

1)Is it possible to view those pages?
    2) If so, how do I view those pages?

I re-built my first web site, www.elizabethbaileyportraits.com in BV and switched the nameserver to VH after it was completed. I don't remember how or if I could see it online while I was building it.

Gosh Barbara...you have some good questions!! lol

If your 2nd site is hosted elsewhere, then I would not think that it would let you add the addon Domain at Voda? Did you just go into your cpanel and create a folder or did you actually do an addon domain?

My guess is you just created a folder in your public-html. But in looking at your gardenpartyteas.com site (is that the 2nd site you are referring to?) are you going to build that in bluevoda or use an ecommerce solution?

I'm just trying to gather a little more info for someone more knowledgable to come along and answer your question. A lot of good I am, right? lol

    btw (Your sites are WONDERFUL)

      Barbara,
You simply have to click on "file" then click to "preview in browser" and the page will show how it will look in the browser you select to view it in. Links, etc will not work as the pages aren't live - but you can view the page how it will look. And if you have more than one browser, I suggest you try the different ones - as they don't all display the same.

Thank you all. Yes, Cindy, the site will be in BV with CartManager, perhaps.

I went to cPanel and clicked on Addon Domain and filled out my info. I think it worked, the folder is there now anyhow. But maybe I just created the public folder like you suggested. I'm just pushing buttons and hoping that it's OK.

I am moving a big site and it has to be done right. Was sure hoping I could see the published version before my redirect. But that is months down the road.

Beth, i'm using IE but the more I learn the more I think that another browser is in order. TKS

          Barbara,
The preview is exactly what the page will look like published in that browser. So you can see what it will look like - as you build each page.
