Slow Publishing of Media Player page

Hello all,
Have redone my demo videos and created for Media Player, uploaded the .mpg files to FTP, but publishing seems to be a problem. 4 or 5 bars in an hour!
Any ideas to help me with this?

I solved the problem by changing the video format to "MOV", however, Media Player does not play in Firefox. It's requiring the download of the Media Player plugin, but the download box is "dead". Apparently they have4 issues. If anyone knows of a fix for this, please share it with me!
