    Re: publish webpages

Good Morning to the "cats" fan,
    • "www.kidswthemes.com/bookings.html" the bookings link has a "w" in it.
    • "www.kids4themes.com/shopping_cart" link needs .html at the end.
Just before publishing a page in BV have a look at: tools>verify links>verify links this will give you an indication of any dead links as per above.

If you would like to open the "orange" template in BV: you can insert the url into: file>new page>from existing HTML page>file name: "www.frogg ..." >click (remote on the internet)

    Cheers,
    Andrew

      Re: publish webpages

I have fixed the bookings and shopping_cart links.
When I verify the links, I get a couple of dead ones.

When I save the pages in lower case they overwrite the origional ones, seems as if there is a problem.

I will rename them different, delete the origional ones and name them again.

      Hope it helps.

I will try to save the orange template now.

        Hi Melinda,

Yes as you republish pages they overwrite the previous version. (as you add or update content on a page it replaces previous version, otherwise we would have hundreds of similar copies of our pages on the internet and your ftp file manager would be a mess LOL)

        Cheers,
        Andrew

          Re: publish webpages

Remember that when using the 'varify links' tool and you receive a fault, it is generally for these two reasons:
          • You haven't published a file with that name "yet".
          • The links file name has a typo
          Cheers,
          Andrew

            Re: publish webpages

I am busy with the renaming, delete, back to origional name thing.
It is working. Can not understand why the capitals don't want to be replaced by lower case letters.

I have saved the orange template. I am busy to "copy" my other pages into it.

You just make it look so easy.

No comment yet regarding the top picture, will I be able to get one I can use for thumbnails with different pictures?

              Hi Melinda,

Please refresh your webpage (open www.kids4... and push Ctrl F5) as I have been seeing your header fine since yesterday (LOL)

              Cheers,

Your links in all of your nav buttons (eg "http://www.kids4themes.com/contact_us.html") must match the name by which you save that specific page contact_us 100%. Now if you publish that page it will overwrite any previous page. Remembering to republish your index page (if changes made) and contact_us page.

                Cheers,
                Andrew

This is just not happening. I have renames my old pages, used your template, gave it the origional page names, with no luck.

When I publish the pages it says "successfully published", but it still have the origional wepbage on the web. No luck with F5.
