Hi you publish to the same ip publishing address
    same username and password

the only thing you change is the directory ...

To publish to your main domain you publish to public_html directory

To publish to your add on domain you publish to public_html/nameofaddondomain

No subdomains and add on domains are totally different.

An Add-On domain is actually another domain name that you have purchased and is totally indepent from your main domain.

A subdomain is available to make and use without purchasing and becomes part of one of your existing domains, whether it is an add on domain or your main domain.

In either case, you do publish to their individual directorys -

        public_html/nameofaddondomain

        public_html/nameofsubdomain

The difference between the two, and the reason you might pay for an add on domain name is so that it is independent of your main domain - the url would be http://www.nameofdomain.com

In the case of a subdomain, the url would be ...

You can see the difference is that a subdomain also includes your main domain, or domain of choice in the website address.

You can have unlimited domains, add on domains and subdomains within your one voda hosting account ...

Re: publish to a addon domain

I am also trying to publish to an add on domain.

When I reached 500 posts I chose "thewiecherts.com" as my free domain. When attempting to publish a test page, I published to: public_html/thewiecherts. The publishing was successful, however, when I go to thewiecherts.com my page is not there.

Anyone care to take a stab at this for me? Pretty please?!

Re: publish to a addon domain

                public_html/green

If green is what you named your addon domain folder
