    Publishing additional pages

    Addon domain is: wattsleftband.com

    1. I made a songlist page and named it wattsleftsonglist
    2. I tried to publish as public_html/wattsleftsonglist (prior to hyperlinking it.)
    3. Verified the IP and pass and letter case.
    4 Tried without the public_html.
    5. I get error 550 every time.
I have followed the tutorials carefully.

    Any ideas?

    Re: Publishing additional pages trouble

    your addon domain is
wattsleftband - it is NOT wattsleftsonglist

    You have to publish to
    public_domain/wattsleftband

All pages will be published to that for this addon domain - don't add in more.

          Re: Publishing additional pages trouble

          Bethers,

I'm now truly puzzled. I published 2 more pages and hyperlinked them. No problem.
Then I edited one of the pages and went to republish using the same steps you provided, and I'm now getting the same 550 error again.

The page has been saved, and when I go to publish, it says no such directory.

So I deleted the old text link from the main page wattsleftband.com
and tried to publish (then re-add the hyperlink to main page) and I get error 550.

I have paid close attention to every detail without luck. I know I am missing a small something (could be right in my face) but have been trying for a few hours.

          Any other ideas?

          Keith

One thing I forgot to mention.

            1. All additional pages publish ok the first time.
            2. They all give me the same 550 error after the first publishing.
            3. I always clear cache and check the results on a different computer
just in case. And re-boot in case of computer issues.
            4. Truly a puzzle to me. Hope someone can help. I check using IE and firefox.

            Thanks, Keith.

Keith- for there to be that problem, you have to be changing something. The error 550 means something is there that shouldn't be.

Give us a step by step of what you did - just like you needed me to do for you - cuz I can't find the error otherwise.

And you didn't MOVE the page did you? Or change it's name?

I created a folder for those files and put them in there. I think I read somewhere thats was a good way to avoid confusion (I have enough of that).
Could be the computer can't find them?

                Keith.

You didn't move them after publishing did you? That's what I was asking.

                    Re: Publishing additional pages trouble

Yes, I believe I did. That would make sense, now the computer can't find them.
I did clone a couple pages off the web so they are in the BV builder, but haven't had any luck publishing them yet. Seems like there are multiple issues going on here.

                    What would you do, Bethers?

                    Thanks, Keith.

                      Re: Publishing additional pages

Either you have to put everything back where it WAS on your computer - or rebuild.

Your BV builder is located on your COMPUTER - and if you move any of the images, files, etc - it no longer has the path to them to pull it up. You can edit the site then through your contol panel, but would no longer have a current page in the builder to work with.
