View HTML box in preview mode

The video tutorial for using an HTML box say you will be able to view the results in the preview mode, but for some reason, my HTML boxes, complete with HTML code, do not display in the preview mode. Is there something I am missing?

Hi, i think you would have to show us the code to help you with this one. Some codes/scripts will also only work when published as they are server based.

Hi Rich.

Check that your HTML box is not being blocked by any overlaying content that will hide it, sometimes the actual image or text from your HTML code will preview in a slightly different position.

I have pasted the included HTML code in a HTML box on within a page of my website (this page not published). I have changed nothing in the code and done nothing but cut your code from another reply you gave me and pasted the code. This is an example of a HTML box that does not show in preview mode.

Hi Chris,

One example is a HTML box used to display a header at the top of each page. The code is:

<?php
include ("topmenu.php");
topmenu();
?>

This code calls a page called "topmenu" to display the header on the page. This does not display in preview mode.

I have this HTML box on my index page, www.zionsbranch.org. It displays fine on the website. Does this give you enough information to diagnose this problem?

Hi Chris,
I should have been a little slower with this reply...for some reason this text is now working in preview mode when put into an HTML box.
My other reply about the header HTML box does not work in preview mode. Does this narrow this down any?

Thanks. I assume this means that because I am using a HTML box to call a webpage saved as in the PHP format, this is why it does not show in the preview mode. Thanks for the clarification.
