Issue with viewing web pages on different computers

Hello everyone,

I would really appreciate some advice on how to make my web pages look as planned or at least similar when viewed using different computers. I have just noticed, shock horror, that my site doesn't display paypal images on one computer and on another the home page looks like the bullet points run over the top of the normal text. Very embarrassing. I was so proud of 1st attempt.

My site was built using BV website builder.

Help, please?

Hi, the only thing i can see that is odd, is the page is set at 1000px but the widest part of the page is about 800.
The strange thing, is it looks fine on my machine.

Yes, I deliberately chose the larger 1000 page because I thought it looked appealing and would make the content of 800 width stand out.

I guess it is a good thing that the site looks fine from your browser Chris. I am running Vista with Office Professional 2007. I wonder if perhaps it makes a difference for people running XP or earlier, or *****?

Ah! i see whats happening. It seems like you are building your pages from the center of your BV screen & should be starting from the far left & letting your page properties center it all for you if set to about 800 wide.

Hello again,

I have now changed page width to 800 and moved pages to left hand side and uploaded all pages but it still looks the same.
If I look at it on my mobile phone and compare it to other sites, mine looks bodgy with obvious misalignments and if I look at it on a friends with XP not only is it misalinged but it fails to display Paypal buttons. i have cleared cache on all applications but doesn't help.

Any thoughts?
