    Pages won't save

    Hi all,

I'm having trouble when saving pages.

I've created my index page and saved it as index.

I have created a contact form on this page using ABVFP

I have also saved this page as a template.

When i create other pages from this template and name them accordingly, they don't seem to appear in the folder i am saving them to.

I am saving/naming them with .php extentions, is this correct?
I see that in the tutorials, pages are saved with .bvp extention
Can anyone enlighten me what extention should go with what type of page?

When i open the BlueVoda folder from the BV toolbar, the newly saved pages are nowhere to be seen.

When i open the BlueVoda folder 'my documents' on my pc, the pages are there, but have been saved as various different types of file.
The index page has saved as a BlueVoda Document
    All others are PHP files.

If i can't open them from the BV toolbar, how can i publish them?

Apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else on the forum, but i've trawled it for 30 mins and haven't found any similar threads.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Re: Pages won't save

Most BV pages should be sved as .bvp (normally BV will add the .bvp for you)
When you publish BV will then add the correct .html extension.

All the above is correct as long as:

    page properties
    file extension
Has NOT been changed to PHP

Now any page that has a form that contains php(contact pages etc)
should be saved withe the .php extension.

(remember to change the page properties - file extension back to html)

If you give us your website address/url we can investigate and help you a little more.
    Have fun
    Regards..... David

      Re: Pages won't save

      Thanks for the reply David,

I have now deleted all saved pages apart from index, will start over.

ALL pages will have an ABVFP contact form on them.

My index page, which already has the ABVFP form on it, will be saved as a template.

      So...
      - i should name it "index"
      - i should save it as "index.php"
      - i should make sure page properties file extension is ".html" ....?

      Here is my URL:

        Re: Pages won't save

Go back to reading the instructions that came with ABVFP.
(I am not sure if you can save the index page that contains the form as a template.)

Your index page should be saved as
        index
and change the page properties - file extension
to php then save and publish

If all your pages contain a form then they should be saved and published the same way.
