Publishing question

I am certain I am making this more difficult than it needs to be.
However, I can not get the pages I have made published.
I have two domain names to which I am publishing three pages each at this time. I have reviewed the FTP account and made sure all related files are in lower case. The FTP account shows parent directory, but the page does not publish. What step am I missing?

You dont want parent directory.. you want public_html/ for the main domain and public_html/seconddomainname/ for the second one

If you are using BV you cannot ftp your files.. you have to PUBLISH or they wont work.

Your first site will be published to public_html as normal. Your second will be public_html/abridgebeyondcoaching.com You will have to be careful not to mix up the pages when you publish.

You cant make pages accessible outside of the public html folder. When you publish the path has to be set to public_html.. otherwise your pages are just floating out there in the home directory which is the MAIN access and programming to your account.

lol.. you also have to create an ADDON domain in your cpanel. I just looked at your links and man what a mess. Your files are there. You main file has to be named

index

just like that and published as you are doing

Once you create the ADDON it will make a folder and the main page for it also has to be

index

but the path will be public_html/abridgebeyondcoaching/

you cannot make a file named abridgebeyoncoaching.com and make it WORK for a site.

I suggest you go thru the tutorials ONE MORE time.. and also make two folders in your bv file. One for the main domain and one for the second domain. Save your pages in these folders.

I have been able to publish all six pages.
One page has code on it.
I have forgotten how to remove it.
But I feel great that I have gotten this far!

If you are seeing code above your page that means you have added a form or script to it, thus needing to publish the page as a php. You could check if the page already exists as a php by typing the url to the page in your address bar, if it pulls up the page change your links if not go into the page properties of the page and change the type to php and republish.

The page properties are set in php as the page is data collection.
What info goes in the 'publish web page' box for 'folder'?

That would be where you put the path. If its the MAIN domain then its just

public_html/

if its the addon then

public_html/addon name or folder name/

The page publishes both ways as http://www.abridgebeyondcoaching.com/abbc_data.php (Clear)
http://www.abridgebeyondcoaching.com/abbc_data.html (with code showing)
This page is a link from the index page. I set the link as
http://www.abridgebeyondcoaching.com/abbc_data.php, but it comes up as the .html with code showing.
I changed the link back to .html and it shows the code.
If I put in the link with .php the page clears.
What am I missing in setting up the link from the index page?

the link with the php extension is correct. If you put a form on it.. it has to be php or the code will show.
