threads display before site

Why does the threads I submit pop up on a general search before my site? I submitted one thread a few months ago and everytime I search for my site it appears before the actual site. I submitted a thread a few days ago and that thread is showing up too. Is there anyway to erase a posted thread?

All posts are searchable and therefore show up in searches. These tend to drop away after awhile. There is no way for a member to delete posts or threads.
