publishing add-on domain index page

I have 2 sites. Orig. www.swatcharters.com and add-on www.ritreeservices.com. Watched too many tutorials to count. Trying to publish index of add-on site and only "index of" is coming up. I am using all lower case. Went to cpanel first and added the domain there. Also, I am publishing to public_html. What am I doing wrong. Am somewhat of a novice so be specific. Do I need to have both sites in the same url somewhere?

At the moment you've been publishing your primary domain to the public_html folder.

Your addon domain needs to be published to the public_html/ritreeservices.com folder

You need to manually change this in the BV publishing dialogue box the pops up.
