FTP Manager not adding file

good morning. I'm trying to add a pdf file through the ftp manager and it's not adding it.
When I drag it from the left side over to the right side a little window pops up and shows the ip and says in paren (attempting 1 of 1) and then closes and the file hasn't been copied.

Any suggestions.
