How do I publish to a sub domain?

I am building a new website that I want to publish to a subdomain. The subdomain name is www.archie.resolvedebts.co.uk; I have built the index (home) page but when I go to publish it the system does not ask any questions about where I want the page to be published. I fear that the system will overwrite my home page in www.resolvedebts.co.uk; Any advice on this would be appreciated.

When you see the publish box
i.e.public_html
just add /archie
now it will read
public_html/archie
and publish your index page and other pages to your subdomain as normal.
