    Blog or WebSite template????

I like the way blog template look... but was wondering if I can use them for more than blogging...

I want to set up a personal site. I rescue cats. I do not sell them, adopt them out, etc. Rather they are all my own- I have rescued well over 80 cats and have a lot of ideas...

I would have a blog that would appear once a week.

In addition, I would like the following:

    1. I would like a photo gallery that would include text about each of my rescue cats.
    2. Links to favorite websites
    3. A place to comment and ask me questions
    4. Articles by subject matter

I have looked at the website templates which just look like they are too much for what I have in mind.

Can the blog template do the trick? If not, what website templates would you recommend?

I know I can create my own, but I just do not think I could do as good as the templates and the template prices are reasonable.

    Thanks, Tina

No ..... premium templates are specifically constructed to "fit" over the foundation of whatever utility they were designed for: the coding is relational and is directly dependent on the parameters allowed to "present."

You can build your own "template" from scratch based upon the inspiration, but the only other way you can use a template "package" is by simply using the PSD/HTML image of the blank page as a background or a "page design" and simply lay your text and navigation over it. You need to decide if spending the few dollars for a professionally created PSD/HTML image is a relative value: how much effort would you need to "invest" in creating your own as opposed to creatively using these available "resources"?
