Which directory?

When installing they are asking in which directory i want to install wordpress? I don't know.......

Hi ... a directory is like a folder in your file manager which contains the files for individual domains ..

public_html is the directory/folder for your main domain

Any other domain that you have added on to your voda hosting account is a folder inside of public_html titled by it's domain name ...

So it all depends where it is you would like to have wordpress ...

ok the public_html was the default (i think) that is were I installed it. when i look in my ftp manger i see the wordpress files there. Is this correct?
What i also need to know, what is the page name? how do I get to it?

I did manage to get to my dashboard but when i click on view site it is not there?

If you installed wordpress into the public_html you overwrote whatever site was there with the blog.

Did you read any of the information pertaining to word press? Most people choose /word or /blog as the directory. You also have to choose a theme etc.

www.yousite.com/word/wp-admin

or wp-login

karen, i watched the tutorial, and went thru the forum, but could not find anything about the directory.

i have chosen a theme

i an anle to view my dashboard - as we speak i a going through the

when i click view site i see my homepage

can i rectify this or should i uninstall and start again?

DONT worry i re-installed it - the directory got me the first time, now it is sorted
