    Completely Lost Installing Wordpress

I am trying to install Word Press to add a blog to my site.

    I got the message below:
The installation can not be completed:- You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.

Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors.

I dont know what is in my root directory or where my root directory is. How do I find it and eliminate what is in there?

Also, I'm not even sure what it means to add to directory. What is a directory? How do I select which one to add to?

    I am completely lost here.

I think I removed everything from root directory:
I put http://thechristianmeditator.com/myblog in the directory box.

then I got the message below:

    Install WordPress (2/3)

The installation can not be completed:

    - No valid directory name provided.

Click on the browser's Back button to fix reported errors.

Apparently, you have multiple installations, and may have inadvertantly created a sub conflict.
DON'T DELETE ANYTHING YET ..... You need to know what you are doing.
