Adding a blog to current web site

We have a web site currently with Voda "Virginiamorningsky.com" and want to add a blog. What do we need to do add a blog to the web site?

Hi,

You would want to install it on a sub directory of the main site like:

"Virginiamorningsky.com/blog"

So tht it does not affect the main site. To do this, when you select the wordpress blog in fantastico simply write blog (or something else if you prefer) into the directory for installation and Fantastico will do the rest.

If you prefer, you can open a ticket so we can do it for you! Just let us know the directory you would like it installed on.

I have installed WordPress using Fantastico in the directory suggested above. How do I connect to WordPress from the Blog page so that I can begin using it?

Hi,

On your site create a blog hyperlink that goes to the below URL:

"Virginiamorningsky.com/Blog"

In order to integrate this with your site.

Got it works like it is supposed to. One last problem. The button that should say "Testimonials" says Blog. My pages where I build the web site say Testimonial but when I publish the pages the bottom two buttons show "Blog". What did I do wrong?

Hi,

This usually happens when you copy and paste a navigation bar, if this is the case, you need to delete the navigation bar then create it again from scratch, save the page and publish it again.

If this is not the case, please open a support ticket so we may look into this for you.
