Header size

Hi!

I just made my webpage header and was wandering if its size would be too big to load...

I made it with Photoshop with a resolution of 200pixels/inch so it keeps its *****ness. After saving it as a jpeg, its still around the 75KBs.

Should I make it smaller or this is not that big of a deal?

lol this is probably the only reason why sometimes I would like to have a slower connection .. so I can see if it loads fast or not :P.

You can take your header to this link, and upload it, and it will show you 6 or 7 possibilities to reduce the kbs ... you can then choose the image quality if you reduced it's kbs ... the smaller the better, but you could live with it ... there is also a tool (stripper) posted down in the tips and tricks for helping to reduce and optimize images as well ... check there too and see what works best ...

try all with a copy of your header so that you don't lose the original by accident ....
