You may also find upon searching a script that will grey out the source code ...

For images you can place a transparent shape over them which then the shape is what the person willl get when right clicking ..

Keep in mind, as many members on this forum state ...

Anything you put on the internet can be taken, although some methods deter more than others and some members find the disable right click unprofessional ...

There is no way to hide the source code from some one that knows even little things about browsers. In the same way, there is no way to protect a picture.

And, in my opinion, disabling viewsource and rig***lick is frustrating because this way you also disable all the other functions included in the rig***lick menu.

I run off as soon as i see that my right click doesn't work anymore...

Hey,

What is on your website that is so important to not get copy pasted? No matter what you try and do, a novice will still be able to copy paste or view the source of your website.

If you don't want people finding the source of your website, create a flash website which will also lead them to not being able to copying it, because if they right click it will only show Flash properties.

The only way they would be able to copy is by PrtSc.

long ago, when i first started to learn to view source,
( before that i did not even know what's view source )
i came across one page,
the right click is there, the view source is there,
but when i click view source,
the note pad did not even appear.
just nothing happen.
so i knew some body did it.

but during that time,
i did not bother much about this until ...

...lately, i read from somewhere about ,
some "expert" can amend your link info via the view source,
and change your payment into theirs,
then, at your side,you are happily marketing your network,
not knowing end up all efforts go to some one else. ..
... some thing like that, if I interpret correctly...

so , thinking of ... ... learn a bit of protection,

since fox is going to retire very soon ... ...
and hair getting more silver ...
better learn it fast before losing the ability to learn ... ...
no matter how slow .... ....

Yes, there are scripts to disable source viewing. What i am saying is that this will NOT stop a person that knows some things about browsers, from vewing it. Use any script you like, then let me know. I will email you your source code, just to show you that i can see it.....

Absolutely NO. Noone can change your payment links on your website. Please note that viewing the source coude does NOT mean they can change anything on your webpage, as long as they do not have your VH account username and password

of the internet surfer know very little about browsers, like me.

Just like somebody even told me that,
some 'expert' , once they can get your email address,
they can see every thing in your computer .
I do not know how true is it,
any way , I am not really worry , really,
however, since I know it, some kind soul updated me,
I try to prevent it,
just like staying here in this town, lesser criminar, lesser thief,
but still everybody lock up their doors.

well, since i m totally blind to programming languages,
so i cannot do anything very much but just
to hear hear and listen.

I believe use whatever script you can

because you are a programmer ... that's no doubt .

This and other similar tools are code encrypters. They usually transform the page code in a sequense of symbols and letters. To answer you look at this comment, on their own website:

Also, trying in the past some of them, i had seen that in most cases i had code conflicts.

Now on the main issue:
1. You do not need to protect images: anyone can simply perform a Print screen and get the pics from here, no matter what script you use to protect them. The only efficient protection is a total watermarking, but most people don't like watermarked images.
2. There is no need that someone steels code from you. There are SO MANY free scripts and tricks sites on the net that there is no need to steal any code from you.
3. No one can alter your payment (or other) links. They would need to hack your account to be able to do so, by changing your page code. The links you have seen were talking about discovering the return from PayPal DOWNLOAD page (for those selling downloadable products) This is a totally different issue, and can easily be secured either using a Instant Download Cart which will check payment before allowing the download, or by (the simple, not so efficient way) by hiddng he return page URL by encrypring the PayPal button code.


So there is no actual need to do anything like this.

Have you seen any site like Intel, Microsoft, *****, just to mention some, protecting their code ?

No, i do NOT recommend them, i am only saying that the say, themselves, that they cannot actually protect any code from people with knowledge.

I think, I can slowly figure out the logic now.

In Conclusion:

1. there are always somebody
( herein call first batch )
looking to disable view source
due to whatsoever reasons.
Human's curiousity are always triggled
and generated by certain sources.
----------> need created.


2. there are many
disable view source scripts
produced and provided by
another batch of somebody.
some for sale, some for free loading,
some for whatsoever purposes.



3. however, all these so many
disable view source srcipts
can be easily cracked by
another highter level or even same level
of somebody who knows how
( so long they are not belonged to
the very first batch of those somebody ) .



4. eventually realise:
anyway, there is no need to
disable view source at all because
whatsoever reasons created for the need
to disable view source
could be just for the purpose
to let the very first batch of those somebody
to use those scripts.
